Our very first Bazaar
Top left to right: The StudioBox Airbrush Sponge, Makeup Mixing Palette with Spatula, Makeup Removing Sponge |
Last weekend we've joined the Cebu International School (CIS) Bazaar, it was a two day event and I have been very excited about it since October. The bazaar was awesome everything went smooth sailing and very well organized. I had a lot of fun since I get to meet new and potential clients and also other bazaar sellers. However I personally find it most delightful to finally meet several of our online clients face to face for the first time. It's good to put a face to a name and talk to them in the flesh, unfortunately I wasn't able to take

Halloween Makeup Mayhem
One of my favorite holiday is Halloween, simply because I can get crazy with all sorts of makeup looks, from whimsical to hard core blood and gore. Just last Oct 29 I got to play around with my friends for our annual Halloween party. I did most of their makeups and a few special effects using tissue papers and glue. So enough of the blabbing here are the looks.

It's finally here!! StudioBox Airbrush Sponge.
I'm excited to share to everyone about The StudioBox Airbrush Sponge. These Non Latex Hydrophilic sponges work very well in blending and creating the perfect streak free flawless canvas for a fraction of the cost of others brands!
The StudioBox Airbrush Sponge may be used dry of wet, however maximum performance of the sponge is achieved when used damp. The sponges in their original dry state is soft but a bit firm however when soaked in water it instantly expand to about double it's size and the sponge gets soft and squishy, the surface texture

Customized Makeup Palettes
A few days ago I went to the buy a few medicine boxes which I planned to use in organizing my makeups. I don't like lunging along bulk, so I try to make things simple and as compact as possible. I got several stick foundations that has been occupying a lot of space so I decided to depot everything into these travel friendly space saving plastic cases.

Pure Beauty Cleansing Oil vs Shu Uemura Skin Purifier
Hello ladies! So this is a Throw down between the much raved about Shu Uemura Premium A/I Skin Purifier cleansing oil and a relatively new product called Pure Beauty Perfect Cleansing Oil.

Silk Cocoon Scrub
I was at a local mall one day looking for makeup brushes when I came across these curious little hallowed oval balls. At first I thought they were a pack of cotton, but I was probing about the hollowed center, I took a closer look before I recognize that it’s a pack of empty cocoons! Silk cocoons! I wasn’t really sure what these are for however my curiosity, is pushing me to purchase it so I did. The pack came with 10 pcs of silk cocoons and it cost around Php60 (a little over a dollar).
The instructions is written in Chinese, and with me knowing just a tad of it, I didn’t quite understand what

First ever Photoshoot
So last June 26 I had my first pro photo-shoot and it was AWESOME! Though I have to work fast since I was to work on 3 models for their hair and makeup with no assistant, even so I was just ecstatic. We started at around 2:30pm and wrapped up at a little close to 8pm I think.
I discovered my maximum average for one person is around 45min to an hour for hair and makeup, not bad I think. Anyway here are some of the shots by the pro Adrian Franklin Yu and some from my trusty Sony HXV5 (I'm just a trigger happy photo enthusiast hehehe).

For this first photo I made her makeup bold and colorful to counter the her plain white dress, so

How to Draw Natural Looking Eyebrows (using eyebrow cake)
Different brow shapes makes ones facial structure look different. However it is always safe to stick to your natural brow shape. I prefer wearing my brow naturally, and to achieve that I use a brow cake instead of pencils. Pencils have a tendency to be too harsh looking unless you have a light hand or if you buff the hell out of it. I also find that using a dark chocolate brown, brow black or a taupe color works best than pure black. Unless you have blonde hair to match I also don't like pure browns for eyebrows cause they tend to come out reddish.
This tutorial's aim basically is just to accentuate your natural brows just making it more defined and giving it a polished look for everyday.
1. Groom brows either professionally or not. It's better to go pro if you don't know how to do it yourself. I'd suggest threading, because it is more accurate than waxing and it last longer than razor cutting. Afterwards, it's quite easy to maintain by yourself by plucking away the regrowth. If you decide to go for the pro do not be shy about telling the one doing your brows what you want and what you don't want BEFORE they start working, after all you're the one who's wearing your brow not them.

- when doing yourself avoid taking too much off your brows, and avoid making it too thin because this will make you look old.
- as a guide draw an imaginary line from your nostrils to your tear duct anything that goes beyond the line you can take off. always remember brows are sisters not conjoined twins.
- draw an imaginary line from the outer tip of your nostrils to outer part of your eyes to give you an idea as to where your brow should end.
- as for your arc i suggest you follow your natural arc.as not to look like a drag queen.

Different types of Monolids
So we all know that it is quite difficult to apply eye makeup on monolids, even professional makeup artists get baffled as to where to put the colors or how to accentuate the eyes. The main reason (I think) why makeup artists have difficulties figuring out how to apply eye makeup onto these eyes, this that, they haven't really realized that there is more than one type of monolid. If you realized this then you will understand that each type may required different approach as to eye makeup application.

Knowing your Makeup Brushes
I have been on the quest for answers as to which natural hair is best used for make up brushes. and I found this article, I think it would be nice for us all to learn more info regarding our brushes.
I've copied and pasted the article below. or you may visit this site: http://www.urbanapothecary.com/Tools/t_professionalmakeupbrushes2.htm (I just added images for reference.)
Makeup brushes for re-creating yourself come in many shapes and sizes. Most makeup artists and cosmetics companies ask the perennial question: Why spend good money on makeup and use poor tools to apply it? A good makeup brush can create a flawless look. Which is the right brush for me? A specific brush is made for a specific task. Look at your makeup collection. Look at your routine. Then, decide which makeup brushes will help you make the most of your unique features.

Makeovers
Here are some makeovers I created for my friends. And if I may say so myself these gorgeous ladies look even better after I made them up (self praise!) As you can see the before and after photos are take with them smiling on both images so that you skeptics out there won't say " the only difference from the before and after photo is that they smiled on the after photo and frowned on the before photo" lol!
First makeover is my friend Shelly, Shelly have asymmetrical eyes her right eye have double eyelid while her left is more of a monolid with a hint of crease that is barely visible, she also have some breakouts around her cheeks and chin, and the color of her face is red compared to her neck.
What I did: I evened out her skin tone and covered up her problem areas (refer to my flawless skin entry). since her eyes are not puffy I decided created a fake crease to even out her eyes. I took this photo with her fiancee's (now hubby) DSLR during their pre-nuptial shoot
Second makeover is for my best friend Aileen She have double lids which is good cuz it makes it very

Purple Smokey Eyes
Tired of the traditional smokey eyes? Why not try adding a little color to spruce it up! I made this post as a contest entry, and I'm proud to say this entry won the competition. The prize was suppose to be a set of Badger brushes but didn't receive it (wonder what happened?), Anyway at least I had fun creating this look and making a tutorial for this. The smokey eyes look gives the eyes emphasis but with the blend of purple it makes the eyes appear dreamy, perfect for a night of seduction *wink wink* :cP.

Shimmery Peacock Eyes
What do you do when you have over 88 colors of eye shadows to play with? you mix and match to create beautiful results :). This is what i came up with one lazy afternoon, i call this the Shimmery Peacock Eyes. This look is bold and colorful, though not quite the usual choice for makeup, this look is more fitting for runways or fashion shoots. to replicate this look I've included a step by step photo tutorial.

Eyes Green with Envy
I woke up extra early today not really knowing what to do so early in the morning (5:00am my usual time is 6:30am) so I decided to prettify myself with some make-up. I'm feeling girly today, something off the usual routine so I decided to give the day an extra umph! while I'm at it.
I went through my closet and pick up a green tank top and black skinny jeans, and decided to go with the
